As a lifelong prosecutor, a mother, and a proud member of the Nassau County community, Nicole knows that the job of the District Attorney is about serving the people and ensuring that all residents of Nassau County feel safe in this community. As District Attorney, Nicole is committed to:
Fighting to keep dangerous criminals off the streets, and reduce the instances of gang violence, human trafficking, and violent crime.
Tackling the rise in property crimes and non-violent offenses – such as car thefts and commercial burglary – that jeopardize the safety of our neighborhoods.
Addressing the alarming increase in hate crimes – particularly against the Jewish and Asian communities – by strengthening the Hate Crimes Bureau in Nassau County, ensuring the bureau is properly trained to recognize and respond to the complex nature of these incidents.
Combating the opioid epidemic by advocating for tougher penalties for drug dealers under existing laws, while also championing the enactment of a “death by dealer” statue to hold offenders accountable.
Directing robust funding toward essential crime prevention programs through work with community stakeholders, including mental health programs, after-school programs and violence prevention efforts.
Collaborating closely with local law enforcement and key stakeholders – including the NCPD and village police departments – to strengthen our community’s safety and well-being.
Empowering the Vehicular Crimes Bureau to prosecute crimes like drunk driving to the fullest extent of the law, reducing motor vehicle injuries and deaths.
